Our First Pilot Film Festival
1st - 30th April 2026
Film Expo South is proud to launch the Pilot Short Film Festival, bringing the very best of local and independent filmmaking to audiences across Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, and Cornwall.
This exciting festival will showcase an ensemble of short films from talented local filmmakers, writers, and producers, with screenings hosted in unique community venues – from village halls and arts centres to museums and cultural spaces.
At the heart of the festival is the winner of our 2022 Short Film Script Competition: ‘Playing Away’ by Steve Langridge– Winner of the FILM EXPO SOUTH Script Writing Competition 2022
Our programme will feature a rich variety of independent shorts, shining a spotlight on the creative voices and unique stories of the South Coast film community.
